CSI

Campers will learn to become Crime Scene Investigators during actual crime scene setups! Campers will learn how law enforcement professional solve crimes and meet real professional Crime Scene Investigators, K-9 Handlers and Forensic Pathologists. You'll use the tools used in the field to collect evidence. Campers will learn how a crime is actually solved and learn how Biology, Chemistry and Physics plays a major role in the investigation!

CSI Advanced

NOTE: Campers must attend our standard CSI camp before this camp.
Campers will become advanced forensic scientists for the week! Campers will analyze and gather evidence for a number of fictitious crime scenes, use luminal and UV light to detect the presence of blood, complete a blood splatter analysis, take crime scene photographs, complete a drug and poison analysis and much more!

Emergency Vet

This is a camper's ticket to the world of Veterinary Medicine. Lessons will give campers the opportunity to look into the real and exciting field of Veterinary Medicine. We'll meet practitioners in the field, pet groomers, and be involved with several hands-on experiments! Each camper will receive their very own medical kit! Sample topics include Animal Behavior, Cancer Research in Animals, Learning Clinical Procedures, Preparation for a Career in Veterinary Medicine, First Aid and Dentisry Care, Diseases and Parasites.

Emergency Vet Advanced

NOTE: Campers must attend our standard Emergency Vet camp before this camp.
Campers will take veterinary medicine to the next level! Our young veterinarians will learn how to give an injection, practice suturing on our suture glove, perform a fetal pig heart dissection, and will examin animal parasitic diseases. They'll be ready to apply to vet school in no time!

Hollywood Special Effects

This is the first camp ever offered by Club Scientific! Newly revised and more exciting than ever, campers learn the science behind Hollywood's special effects. Activities will demonstrate concepts related to light, sound, perception, illusion, and model building. One of the great features of this camp is that all campers will create (and take home!) a movie using techniques in Claymation and Stop-Motion Animation. Lessons include plot development, storyboarding, set building, filming, and sound effects.

Campers will also learn various special effects make-up techniques working with the same materials used by professional make-up artists. They will simulate cuts, bruises, artificial blood, and old age. Is there a future movie director living in your house? This is a camp your child won't want to miss! Please have your movie-maker bring a new 4G Flash Drive to camp to save their movie.

Robot Inventor

Campers will learn about the Science of Robotics with information on famous inventors, major innovations, and breakthroughs and advances in robot history. Newton's Laws will be emphasized all week and each camper will receive three robot kits to work on. Campers will be able to take home their remote controlled robots!
Featured kits vary by camp and may include:

Space Robot Engineer

Camp Space Robot Engineer takes campers to the edge of the universe on a mission to make a distant planet habitable for humans. Our videos and animations help campers build and learn programming, tackle building challenges, and hone their robotic and project planning skills. Science factoids are interspersed throughout, accompanying engineering design activities tied into space exploration. Camp Deep Space’s curriculum has been developed by Carnegie Mellon University’s Robot Academy. As an extra bonus, campers construct and launch two of their very own Estes Rockets. Campers will take their rockets home with them. Parents are invited to join us on Friday’s Family Day to view their child’s rocket launch. We are on our way to the final frontier!

Space Robot Engineer Advanced

NOTE: Campers must attend our standard Space Robot Engineer camp before this camp.

Build and program more advanced projects. Interactive tutorials make it easy for campers to reach an advanced level of programming as they learn to build robots that travel, monitor sensors, and use advanced programming. Campers will build a variety of increasingly sophisticated robots like the Strider (a six-legged creature), The Rock Climber (a climbing vehicle), The Brick Sorter (a robot that sorts by color and size), The Robotic Arm (a mover and picker), and the exciting Humanoid Robot! This camp presents numerous building and programming challenges throughout the week. Campers are encouraged to think creatively and to apply what they have learned to develop the skills essential in creating their own robot masterpieces.
